According to the 2020 Global Entrepeneur Report made by BNP Paribas Walth Management, sustainability has become a way for transformation for a lot of companies, but is also the center of an important number of projects that rises in a pandemic context. Entrepreneurs all over the world have a big bet on sustainability as a priority for their business models and inversions.
This report studies the trends and behaviors of the elite entrepreneur sector in 19 countries on sustainable investments, their main priorities and how they take them into practice. The study shows that almost half of the interviewees already have sustainable investments in their briefcase and 70% of them are now more willing to invest in a sustainable way than 18 months ago. This data reflects even broader investment trends; sustainable investments worldwide have grown by 34%, reaching $ 30.7 billion.
Vincent Lecomte, CEO of BNP Paribas Wealth Management explains that expectations are in each region, but all entrepreneurs want to contribute and use their wealth to leave a positive impact on society. “The pandemic has also accelerated sustainable investment, 64% of investors believe that the coronavirus crisis represents a turning point for environmental, social and good governance investments. The Wealth Management industry has an important role to play in providing the right level of information, transparency and solutions to support this business commitment”.
